I got to see the Lonar Lake when our school took us to Lonar on an excursion. We had a school excursion every year and this year we went to see the Lonar Lake. We were to go in 3 huge buses, and had to leave early in the morning by 7 am. I reached the school good fifteen minutes before seven, I and my friends planned our sitting arrangement. We were asked to board the bus in a line and had made a line such that all us friends would be able to sit near to each other. By 7.30 our bus left Aurangabad. Lonar is around 150 kilometers from Aurangabad. So we were to reach Lonar by 1.30 or 11 am. While in the bus we had lots of fun, we played Antakshari, danced on some songs and enjoyed a lot. Our teachers did not mind us talking at all and we were so happy. We were carrying lots of eatables and chocolates; I was putting my poppins in my mouth now and then. I had also brought my camera to take photos. We reached Lonar by 11 and we were first taken to a small hotel to take some snacks. We bought some snacks there and left to see the lake. we were already told a lot about the lake. Lonar was a meteor lake, meaning it was created due to a meteor that fell on the earth some 50,000 years ago. It is a salt water lake. We visited the Daityasudan temple and I took pictures there along with my friends. We saw different birds around the lake also. There is also a kind of great bath near the lake where water falls continuously and no one knows from where it comes and where it goes. Interestingly this water is sweet and known to cure many diseases. We filled our water bottles with this water. I enjoyed the trip very much. By late evening we returned home.
