Bhuj, a major town in Kutch, is bright and beautiful. This town his surrounded by a wall and in the olden days, the gates of the walls were locked from dusk to dawn. The Aina Mahal or Old Palace located in Bhuj is a gorgeous museum, built in the 18th century. It was the palace of Maharao Lakhpatji. It has a place with marble walls, which are covered with mirrors and ornaments. The floor has a platform which has a series of fountains.

 

The Bhartiya Sanskruti Drashan in Bhuj has a collection of artifacts and textiles. All this is found in village houses.
