The Aga Khan Palace in Pune comes under the Gandhi National Memorial Society. This was the place where Mahatma Gandhi was imprisoned by the British during the Quit India Movement. The Sinhagad Fort in Pune was earlier known as Kondhana Fort. This was the place where Shivaji Maharaja’s general; Tanaji Malusare fought the Mughal army all alone. After Tanaji Malusare’s death, Shivaji named the fort Sinhagad.

 

Shaniwar Wada is a 13 storey Palace, located in Pune. This palace was the seat of Peshwa power and was built with a high security system.
