Puri, situated on the coast of the Bay of Bengal, is a district headquarters. It is also known as Jagannath Puri because of the Jagannatgh Temple situated there. Puri is a holy city for the Hindus as the pilgrimage to the temples of India is not complete without making a journey to Puri.

The Shree Jagannath Puri Temple was built in the 11th century and it is the starting point of the famous Rath Yatra. The food of the temple is delicious and the highest point of the temple is beautiful.
